Program Overview
The college offers three undergraduate programs: Precision Instruments, Measurement and Control Technology & Instruments, and Intelligent Sensing Engineering. Centered on cultivating world-class scientists, engineering innovation leaders, entrepreneurs, and national governance talents in precision instruments, the program adheres to Harbin Institute of Technology's mission of aerospace-based development and national defense services. It addresses major national needs, explores global technological frontiers, serves economic priorities, and safeguards public health. The program trains socialist builders and successors capable of applying interdisciplinary knowledge to solve complex engineering challenges in instrument science and related fields. Graduates will work in aviation, aerospace, information technology, high-end equipment, and precision medical instruments, engaging in engineering design, technology development, production management, and scientific research. They will develop strong practical skills, innovative thinking, teamwork abilities, and lifelong learning capabilities, while possessing global perspectives to become top-tier innovators leading industry development in domestic and international academic institutions or enterprises.
The School encourages students to pursue diverse development, with its talent cultivation goal under the new circumstances being academic masters, engineering giants, industry leaders, and pillars of governance for the School of Instrumentation at Harbin Institute of Technology.
