Founded in 2020, the Major of Intelligent Sensing Engineering was among the first of its kind established by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) nationwide, and has been selected as a First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Site of Heilongjiang Province. As an emerging major born amid the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, it is primarily dedicated to addressing the urgent demand for next-generation information acquisition technologies in the development of intelligent society, spanning such fields as industrial informatization and intelligentization, aerospace surveying and mapping, intelligent equipment, smart cities, smart healthcare, smart environmental protection, and smart homes.
This major is designed to cultivate high-level technical talents who will engage in technological R&D, engineering design, and engineering application in domains including information sensing technology, information conversion technology, distributed sensing technology, data acquisition, front-end storage and processing technology, wireless data transmission technology, visible light information transmission technology, data and network interface technology, sensor network and Internet of Things (IoT) technology, as well as digitalization, networking and intelligentization technologies. With the rapid development of China’s industrial informatization and smart city construction, the Major of Intelligent Sensing Engineering is poised to achieve vigorous and swift progress.
