Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments Major

The major of Measurement & Control Technology and Instruments was established by merging the former major of Electromagnetic Measurement Technology (founded in 1956) and the major of Automatic Instruments and Control Systems (founded in 1959). It is a key construction major of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and one of the first batch of majors included in the Excellent Engineer Training Program initiated by the Ministry of Education. The major has also been selected as a National First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Site.

As an interdisciplinary comprehensive major, Measurement & Control Technology and Instruments integrates precision electronic technology, precision optoelectronic engineering, precision mechanical engineering, process control technology, computer technology, digitalization technology, networking technology and intelligent technology. With the advancement of the industrial power construction goals represented by intelligent manufacturing and the industrial internet, this major is playing an increasingly important role in modern industry by virtue of its distinctive characteristics and advantages.
