General Introduction:For years, the Institute of Navigation Instruments has been committed to research on high-precision inertial measurement, shipborne fiber optic gyroscopes and their systems, as well as satellite-inertial integrated navigation technologies. It boasts absolute technical advantages in shipborne inertial navigation and integrated ship navigation. The institute has undertaken more than 100 projects including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, won 4 Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards (First Class), and obtained over 100 authorized national invention patents.
Based on its core strengths, the institute is dedicated to building a distinctive navigation technology team embodying the features of HIT Precision Instruments. Through model-based research projects such as shipborne medium-precision fiber optic inertial navigation systems, key cultivation projects including cold atom interferometric gyroscope technology, and industrial transformation projects, the institute continues to lead the development of domestic ship navigation technologies. It keeps pace with international academic frontiers in related fields, conducts cutting-edge innovative research of international standards, and is gradually growing into a domestically leading, world-class, high-level and open research team, making outstanding contributions to the advancement of China’s shipborne navigation instrument technology.
