Micro-Nano Optics Technology Laboratory

Historical Evolution: Founded in May 2020, the Micro-Nano Optics Technology Laboratory is affiliated to the School of Instrumentation Science and Engineering. It is mainly engaged in the research on the optical/electromagnetic information modulation theory, device fabrication and their applications based on micro-nano structures.

Faculty Team: The laboratory currently has 5 on-the-job staff members, including 1 professor, 1 associate professor, and 3 engineers and administrators. Among them, 1 is a New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education, and 1 serves as the Chief Expert of the Ministry of Science and Technology 863 Program. All faculty members have overseas study experience and actively carry out international cooperation. The laboratory currently has more than 20 doctoral and master’s students in total.

Introduction to the Laboratory Director:Professor Peng Jin is the Director of the Micro-Nano Optics Technology Laboratory, a New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education, and the Chief Expert of the National 863 Program. His main academic positions include: Reviewer of Projects in the Mechanical and Manufacturing Disciplines of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Director of the 6th China Metrology and Testing Society. He has successively presided over a number of national, provincial and ministerial-level projects as well as multiple international cooperation projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the 863 Program projects. He has won 1 First-Class Award of Science and Technology at the Ministerial and Provincial Level, 1 Second-Class Award of Heilongjiang Provincial Natural Science, and 2 international invention patents. He has co-authored one monograph and published more than 60 SCI-indexed papers in journals such as Nano Letters, Carbon and Nanoscale, with nearly 300 citations.
